An inspiring door .

HeyHey ! 

I know, it’s definitely been a while since when I last wrote here, but I have good reasons!I've been sick (and I still am); I have sore throat, cough, cold, headache…all the germs family was together, but temperature strangely didn't show up! I was also waiting for all my birthday presents + some orders I did on the internet (that were not here yet) so that I could make pictures and write blog posts about them. Although i didn't write here, i made those pictures :3

Since when I stayed home on Monday, I started watching movies and tv series nonstop. Now, the 5^th season of Gossip Girl I downloaded it’s over, I watched all the movies in my pc…so I decided to write down this blog post ! Finally ahah!

Several time, in other blog posts, I mentioned this bedroom’s door I have that I consider so special. I pasted there quotes, sentences and posters about things I like. There’s even a coke label with my name on it and a Sourcy Vitamin Water’s one in blackberry flavor. I love that drink, too bad we don’t have it in Italy. There’s just a bad IMITATION of it -.- .

It may or may not be interesting for you to read about this, I just wanted to show you this thing, It’s something creative I do and that I want to show you guys. Maybe one of my readers does the same thing, and I’d be glad to see some pictures of your creative spot in your bedrooms!

Here’s the picture of my door.

Basically what I do with those papers is to stick them behind the door. There I can see them every time I’m on my bed, when I’m studying at the desk and also when I sit on my pouf (I guess there’s no English translation for this one) to read and listen to music. To read them that often will probably make them part of my way of thinking, I hope.

Rereading them after a while makes me realize also what are the quotes that really should be important in my life and those that shouldn't. For example, the last time I wrote here, on this blog post, I was thinking about a quote from Janis Joplin’s song. I found myself disagreeing with that so I removed it.

Should I write a blog post about the quotes I remove or that I paste on my door? I think it may be interesting to think and write about them. Such a nice Owl - Duolingo .

Today i want to write about an amazing app i discovered thanks to Beckie0 (check out her YouTube channel, so different and so special. Subscribe!). While i was reading one of her tweet i found out about Duolingo. Obviously i'm talking about the app but there's a website connected to it. What you do on this website is basically learn languages for free. There are not as many languages as on Livemocha (yes, i tried this one too trying to learn dutch ahah) but on Duolingo you can practice always and as much as you want. If you don't understand they explain you and starting from your language you'll be able to learn the basic element of a new language. At the moment i'm learning spanish from English (i couldn't find from italian on the app ahah) and i need to say that i find myself really motivated to keep learning.

If you want to learn French, English, Portuguese or Spanish, i higly recommend this app. I did not talk with this website at all, i'm not  publicizing anything, I just want to let you know that there are lots of way to learn languages and that you should never stop.

Recycled sweaters .

What's up guys? tell me everything you want, even the most stupid thing in the world...but comment below please! I reached those 300 visualisations last week (that already grown to 334 *.*) BUT i feel like i want to hear your real opinion on what i write. I suck at school when it comes to write compositions (even in italian), i hope this aversion fro writing doesn't reflect in my blog posts as well, get it? (a bit complicated to explain in my own words).

So yesterday i was looking for high-waisted skirts and shits on website as Romwe and Sheinside. Basically I noticed that the biggest part of the sales are on the so called ''over sized sweaters''. To be honest with you guys, i find nothing interesting in the sweathers/jumpers they sell, often they're particularity is just the fact they look bigger on our bodies, there's no peculiarity in colours, fantasies, patterns * I'm talking about average jumpers as this one, not about sweatshirts *

Looking at those clothes i realised that i could have the same effect with on of my dad's old jumper. Of course they look oversize on me, they're quality is really good and i don't have to spend money!

These are the sweaters I personally LOVE at the moment. They have nothing special, except for the fact they're basic and big :)

Since the fact that these jampers are my dad's and that he is 54...I don't think you can find these same sweaters but the poin is that you should try and ask you dad, uncle or even your mum if you're smaller than her (my mum is 1,60 and i'm 1,70...my shoes number is 39, she has the 37...we exchange basically nothing -.-). 

These are some of the jumpers i picked up, others i don't use are really beautiful but they look enourmous on me, and in that way i look ridiculous! I like all of them; the first one has a pattern similar to the ''nordic'' and ''christmassy'' ones that are in vogue at the moment, the blue one is perfect with shirts under it and the last one i like how simple it is with those two white lines. They all look great with leggings. I usually pair the first with (false) black Dr. Martens, the second with my (false) Timberland boots and the third one with brown UGGs.

The brand of the blue sweaters should be Conte of Florence and the beige one is from Henry Lloyd.

I hope you'll soon go steal something on your dad's closet! If you find something you can modify as well i suggest you to watch this quick DIY done by one of my favourite Youtuber, CutiePieMarzia (she is italian as well! : D)! Christmas presents .

Well seems like the last time i wrote here was in 2013...so HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :D !

(I'm late also this time, i know ahah). I celebrated New Year's Eve in Rome with some friends of mine. Unfortunately for the fact we were staying there for few days in the apartment of my friend's brother (that was not that close to the center),  i prefered not to bring my camera, so the few pictures and videos i did during that night were made with my iPhone. Rome is 2h30minutes far by train/car from my city so i think i could go there another time to shopping and take pictures with all the calm of the world. The christmas holidays in general went really good, had some love-trubles  this week that made me feel a bit down but i'm recovering. Since when i went back to school i started doing lots of activities that includes running 3 afternoons every week, two acting class/lessons, scout, studying for school and drive license etc. I'm a busy woman, so i have no time to think about a missing boyfriend ;)

Sooo as i wrote on my last post i would like to show you some of the presents i got for Christmas this year to give you inspirations for future christmas or birthday presents. I did not received them on the 25th. Here in Italy we also do celebrate on the 8th of December (the Virgin Day) and on the 6th of January (The Befana or Epifany). Other countries do not have those two festivities. 

✦ Pair of socks from my mum. They're kinda high (just a bit above the knee) and they have a cute little bow  on the inside that looks like jeans material.

✦ I already had a pair of gloves for touch screen, i bought them at Primark last summer for one euro or something but they were not as hot inside as these are. I love them!

✦ My friend Sofia bought me these two products from Kiko. I already had a burgundy nailpolish from the same brand but since the fact i'm a clumbsy person i broke it, don't ask me how, i can't remember/explain. About the gold eyeliner, let's admit i can't go any further than mascara and eyeliner when it comes to eyes-makeup so this time i decided i was going for something a bit more particular that i could use during christmas time and also for an evening out to make it a bit more special ! You can fine both the products at the store.

✦ I got an iPhone 5S !! NO, I'm kidding, it's a white chocolate one my mum bought us (my brother had one as well)! Let's face it, it looks kinda real also from the picture! 

✦ My dad bought for every member of  our family one of these bracelet. They all have the infinity symbol (in differente colours) and with the he paired different senteces, the best one for every person. In my case he said that i'll be always part of the family even when i'll work/live abroad. I find it really special.

✦ One thing i'm always asking for is USB key, when it comes to give someone my pictures for a work, or to take school some files etc. I know it looks stupid as present (i needed one for the fact mine are all with few GB and i needed one with quite a lot of space) but you can always search for a particular shape of USB key, my brother got one that looks like a small Asterix (from Asterix and Obelix). Ships, Pigs, Bows, Cupcakes...a USB from the outside can look like a thousands different things.

✦ I wanted this book for so long. I love the previous two books Khaled Hosseini wrote and when i discovered that aanother one was published i couldn't wait to read it. I have the italian version so the original title would be ''And the Mountains Echoed''' . Right now i need to read some books for school but i'm sure that when i'll be free to read whatever i want to i'll be able to read it in a couple of days ! Can't wait!

✦ Since when, in 2010, i visited the Beatles Museum in Liverpool during a study trip, I discovered my enourmous love for The Beatles ! Last year i received for Christmas an amazing book that describes their stories, showing pictures and old posters for events where they were invited to sing etc. The calendar that i always have in my bedroom since 2010 is from The Beatles, this is the one i got this year.

✦ This is nothing particular at all and it may seem awkward as well as presents. Since when i saw one of the latest video from Zoella i fell in love with a dress she has, the one with a white collar and a plaid print/tartan print all over it. When i discovered she got it at Primark, shop that we don't have over here in Italy, I kinda gave up on the ''tartan passion'' of the moment. To cheer me up my mum bought this set of breakfast placemats and with them she paired it with those cute napkins with a christmas fantasy on it. 

✦ I'm not that into jewels i guess but this bracelet i had it's really cute and the particularity of it is that it's completely made with recycled tin and, for this reason, it's so light! I can pare it with everything i want and i can even wear it at school because it's simple.

✦ Way before christmas i went to Yves Rocher to buy myself some products. Under the Christmas tree (just to have some other presents to unwrap) i ''found'' these two products you can find in the stores. This is the second time i buy the mattifying powder because when i bought it the first time...it was love at first sight. About the lip balm i can say it works really well and it smells delicious! 

✦ My cousing gave me this set of navy gloves and beanie. The particularity is on the shape of the gloves (they're knobs, if this is the right translation) and on the material. These are the softest gloves ever, they are made with fake blue fur. 

Set gloves and beanie - H&M✦ This is the best present i had this year! I wanted a pair of big headphones since this summer but i decided to wait untill christmas. I love this white pair sooo much! I've been looking for something like this for a long time, they were not that expensive as well and they looks like Cassie's ones in this picture from Skins Pure.

✦ I bought this shirt before christmas, so it should have been part of a 'Haul' blogpost but i didn't buy many itmes that time so i decided to include it here as Christmas present.I've been wearing this a lot, because i like how these two colours perfectly matches together, i can use with shirt on everything.

✦ This is, as well, something i bought before christmas. I needed a big over sized sweater with a light colour and i found this creamy one at H&M. It has, in the textures, some gold strings that gives it a particular look. I really like it! 

✦ At Pull and Bear i also burgundy blazer with a cream coloured cloth on the inside of the sleves that can be showed if you turn them on the end. I paired this blazer with black dresses for parties or also with jeans ans simple tshirts for an aperitifs with friends. It looks good on everyone and with everything. It makes me thinner than what i am because it's a bit longer than the average blazer, it perfectly hides my curvy hips.

✦ A friend of my mum, who now lives in Milan with her family, came over as every christmas holiday and she kindly brought me this spring t-shirt with half sleaves. I've never been in a good relation with striped clothes. Once i heard a woman saying ''Oh dear, if you are fat the stripes will make you look even larger than what you already are''. Since that day i've never bought something that even had the smallest stripe. But since the fact this t-shirt was a present, i decided i'll give it a chance when i'll lose enough weight.

I finally did this blogpost! January is almost over and it was going to be ridicoulous to write something about christmas in February.  Sorry i couldn't fine some products online but you know, they were presents and there was no price written on the tems. I hope you liked what i wrote, that i gave you some ideas for some presents. I'm planning on writing other interesting blogposts soon. 

Thank you for the 300 visualisations i reached yesterday! It seems like i'm not that bad at writing or entertain people.  I'm happy about this blog and i'll keep writing here.

Photo contests .

How are you? I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! I know i'm late but i wish you MERRY CHRISTMAS in any case :) I think i will write a post showing you some presents my friends and family gave me this year, so maybe i can give you some ideas for future gifts (Christmas and bday ones).

But today what i want to do is to show you two pictures I made to take part and ofc try to win two different photo contests.

● The first contest i took part was organized by Assicity, an association composed by young people from my city who try to create events such as christmas markets in the main square, parties during the whole year, Halloween included, or summer games. Everyone likes these events because my city is small, medieval and mainly famous because of St.Francis, churches and other religious things. To keep the tourism alive no one really thinks about the young people who lives in here, there are no special occasions for us to meet and party.

In any case, this association, to finance other events, this year decided to print a calendar that was going to have 12 different pictures, one for each month. To find original photos they decided to organize this contest, where the main theme was 'Red'.

This is the picture i sent to take part in the competition.

The pictures were not judged by photographers or by the members of the association but they were uploaded on Facebook on Assicity's page (without the names of the authors) and they were voted by all the people who were fan of the profile. Mine was one of the first 12, so it was selected to represent November on the calendar that are available since Friday 27th till Sunday 29th.

The pictures i sent had worse colors than the ones i posted up there but was really similar; i decided to upload here the one that a friend of mine edited to make it more lightfull, and i find it really nice in this way.

● The second contest i took part was organized by my school. On the last day before christmas holiday, the 21st of December, this contest was over and the people who won the writing contest (with poetries and stuff), the drawing contest and the photography one, received a little award that was a small present (a frame i guess).

I unluckily didn't win, but i'll show you below the pictures i did for the theme ''Violence against women''

To make this picture as i was creating it in my mind, i organized my own photo set at home and, as model, i chose my cousin Lorenza (you can find her on Twitter). If you are wondering... the hand is my brother's ahah just saying !

To be completely honest with you guys, i didnt really like these two pictures. I'm sure i've done better ones, also for other contests. I personally like street photography, i like to capture the moment and the geometrical shapes around me. When it came to build my own pictures, i really didnt know what to expect, i mean both the pictures are not natural and i was not sure if send them or not. I did and i'm glad i did in any case (either i win or lose) ahah

How are you guys doing ? I'm doing fine at the moment, just praying not to have an oral test on these final days of school ! On the 23rd morning I will officially be in holiday :D I love Christmas time and this year I have been really looking forward to it! It's even the first time I properly decorate my bedroom for this time of the year; I bought xmas lights, I got a christmassy blanket and a little Christmas tree in wood as well (it is so cute, you can put on it the little balls in wood you find in the box).

I don't have much to write about since the fact that yesterday I had a play at the theatre, the one I have been working for since September, so as you can imagine I've been at the Theatre more or less the whole week for several hours. In any case, the play turned out amazingly and to be honest, the time was flying for me when I was standing on the stage, performing my character (if this is a good expression to use). Oh if I ever write something wrong (expressions, grammar mistakes or anything else), let me notice it in the comment below, I'll appreciate that because I'm here to learn. 

I think I will have time to take pictures of what I bought this period and post some of them below, with the xmas present I will get (because I think I've been a good girl this year :D), and I also have in mind a photography experiment to do, we'll see if I can make it.

On the next post I'll publish two pictures I did for two different contests I'll describe properly :)

Random chat .

How are you? One week ago I wrote a post about my favourites of the month and it seems like you didn't like it that much, am I right? Well, at least, that's what  Blogger says showing the visualisations of the different posts I wrote. I think I'll try to reduce this kind of topic (like girly one), they are more for "fashion blogger" (that I am not and I don't want to be). I will basically stop because I feel like it's not what I started to write about. I don't want/can/should become a fashion blogger or something like that, not my style ahah In any case, this is just a quick talk/update. 

I almost recover completely from the bronchitis. This week I went back at school was absolutely terrible; all the oral and written tests I missed those 5 days I spent at home sick, I had to remake during this week, although I already had other tests. This led me to cry a lot, to swear against everything, to be particularly mad ad anyone for stupid reasons; In few words, I was hysterical (as my brother kindly defined me). BUT all this negativity/hate I had against school...made me appreciate/enjoy even more all those things I do more than study, such as the two acting lessons I'm taking (one of them is almost over, on the 17th we'll have the play we've worked on), scout, gymnastic (that right now is basically coming back to school walking as much as I can) etc. I even started paying more attention on the things I watch and hear. 

I had a small time on Friday afternoon to shopping with mum and I bought a couple of items I've already wear ahah I don't know what about you but I really like to start wearing things when they are new! I can't wait to see how I style them and stuff. 

This weekend I haven't done much. Let's start saying that my weekend starts on Saturday afternoon (because in the morning I have school). I was out with friends during the afternoon and than out again in the evening for a 20 bday aperitif/dinner (this was so cool).

Oh I had the check at the dietitian...it strangely went well. When I told her I started to eat again in a nervous way when I study, she really seemed a bit bothered, and for this reason when it came out I lost 1.3 kg (basically doing nothing special)  she was as surprised as I was!

Okay this blog post is turning into a single chatter about my life and a bounce of events you don't even care about ahah sorry! To make this post a bit more interesting I'll post a picture of how I started decorating my bedroom for Christmas

For the first time I bought these cute little lights for my bedroom. I saw them in many YouTube videos and i thought  they were so cute I couldn't wait to buy them at the Chinese shop, where I was surely going to find them for few euros (100 lights, 4€). Lots of people have them in blue and I personally searched for white/blue lights but then when I didn't find them I realised that maybe this warm yellow light was going to be more adapt to my bedroom, that has cream walls and red items everywhere. 

The deck I got from Butlers is so cute and you can turn it and there's the same print on the other side but in blue, white and maybe green (can't properly remember right now tbh ahah)
